3 Favorite Holiday Cookies

1. Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 c butter

2 c brown sugar

2 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

4 c flour

2 tsp salt

5 c blended oatmeal – blend oatmeal in blender until you have 5 cups of oatmeal powder

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp baking powder

1 80z hershy bar, grated – use the smallest size of the grater

16 oz chocolate chips

3 c nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees f. Mix first four ingredients in one bowl, the next six in a seperate bowl. Slowly add dry mix to wet, stirring thoroughly. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop in rounded spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Let sit 2 minutes on cookie sheets to cool, then move to wire racks to cool completely.

 

2. Spritz Cookies

Ingredients:

1 c sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp almond extract

1.5 c butter, softened

1 tsp baking powder

3.5 c flour

Preheat oven to 400 degrees f. Mix went ingredients and sugar together. Sift in flour and baking powder. Drop spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet or use in a cookie press. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Let sit on cookie sheets for two minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool.

 

3. Caramel Apple Cookies
